I arrived back to Linköping this Wednesday, after being in the UK for just over a week, and surprisingly the weather has completely change! Words can’t describe how happy I am to finally get some sun – I just hope that this lasts. This week we also started our new course on ‘Europe’s Relation with the World’, I participated in my first webinar which some of you would have seen and I just chilled, ate some ice cream and enjoyed the sun.

Short Weekend in Bath

After the assignment from my last course – I felt like I truly needed a short break away from everything. I love travelling and if I wasn’t on a student budget then I would definitely be going to more exotic destinations. However, for this trip I chose to visit the most quintessential British town, Bath. I actually haven’t explored much of England since I am British and have always had the excuse of “I live here so I have plenty of time to travel around the UK”. But I am 23 and not getting much younger so I might as well just start now! I loved Bath and would definitely visit again. Next on my list in the UK is: York (since my Canadian friend also visited last week and said it was great), Bristol, Cornwall, Dublin and Edinburgh.

Home Examination & Chill

The title perfectly describes my life this week.

It has come to the end of our International and European Security course which was super interesting – and it has really made me consider choosing cybersecurity as my thesis topic. Yes.. I am already thinking that far ahead as it is only less than a year away – I have some ideas in mind and just need to narrow down my topics.

So this week we have a home examination – consisting of one question and a maximum 3000 words. This really allows us to organise our time and research a topic in a short period of time – which I really appreciate as it will be beneficial for our future careers.

I should be researching now – but here I am procrastinating like a typical student and writing a blogpost!
