Welcome to the library – good things to know at the start of the new semester!

**Detta blogginlägg är även tillgängligt på svenska**

A new semester is about to begin and Linköping University Library is happy to welcome both new and returning students!

At the start of the new semester, Linköping University Library is partially returning to normal operations, for example regarding loan period for textbook reference copies (day loan items) and overdue fees. Since the corona pandemic is not over yet, it is still very important to follow the restrictions in force:

Recommendations in force at LiU

Course reference copies

From August 23, the temporary measure of extended loan period for textbook reference copies (day loan items) will end. This means that you will have to return the book the same day you borrow it, instead of keeping it for up to three days.

Overdue fines

During the corona pandemic the library did not charge overdue books. From September 13 we go back to regular routines regarding overdue fees. You can always check the due date of your books at My Loans. Please note that older, existing fine charges are still in force and that special rules apply to interlibrary loans.
